What we do

Two ways to make your home work harder

Generate your own clean power, and keep every surface and pipe around your home safe from ice and freezing.

Rooftop solar panels on a two storey Ontario house

Residential solar panels

Rooftop systems sized to your roof and your real electricity use, with optional battery storage.

  • Up to $10,000 back through Ontario's Home Renovation Savings program
  • Or net metering credits that carry forward for 12 months
  • Monitoring so you can see what your system produces

Electrical heat tracing

Snow melting and freeze protection for driveways, walkways, ramps, roofs, gutters and pipes.

  • No more shovelling, salting or chipping ice
  • Automatic sensors run the system only when needed
  • Protects pipes, gutters and foundations from freeze damage

Let summer sunshine help pay for winter

With net metering, the extra power your panels send to the grid in summer earns credits on your hydro bill. Those credits carry forward for up to 12 months, so they can offset the electricity your heat tracing and floor warming use in winter.

Net metering and the Home Renovation Savings solar rebate cannot be combined. We show you the numbers for both so you can choose.

Questions and answers

Common questions

Do you work on condos, apartments and senior living buildings?

Yes. Along with houses, we work on residential properties such as condos, apartments and senior homes. Shared buildings usually need approval from the board or property manager, and we can provide the information they ask for.

Which areas do you serve?

We work with homeowners in Ontario. Send us your city or postal code and we will confirm that your home is in our service area.

Can solar panels help pay for my heat tracing?

Yes, through net metering. Surplus solar power earns bill credits in sunny months. The credits carry forward for up to 12 months and can offset winter electricity use, including heat tracing and floor warming.

Are there rebates for heat tracing?

There is no dedicated Ontario or federal rebate for heat tracing right now. Heated ramps and entry walkways for someone 65 or older, or eligible for the disability tax credit, may qualify for the federal Home Accessibility Tax Credit. See heat tracing incentives.

How do I get a quote?

Use the quote form or email us. Tell us what you need, the city and your timing, and we will set up a time to talk and visit.

Ready to plan your project?

Tell us about your home and we will recommend the right solar or heat tracing system, with the rebates that apply.
